This week has been a busy one!!! Where to begin...
Bob's team won their basketball game on Saturday - yea! Sunday we spent the morning at church and the better part of the afternoon looking at cell phones. I was so thankful to get a new one - the battery on my old one wouldn't hold a charge and after one call would go kaput! I've got a new LG Chocolate and love it!!!
Monday, Anna had some unsightly friends removed from the big toe on her left foot, which had to be bandaged. Then she had her orthodontist appointment; took impressions for the device (spacer) that is getting placed on the 18th of next month! No gum or chewy candy for the next 6-8 months and she'll have to brush her teeth at school after lunch every day - no to mention turning the key to the device every 2-3 days!!! That evening my brother, Chris, shipped off to boot camp for the next 12 weeks! Tuesday, my sister, went for her weekly check-up and was shocked when the doctor asked if she was ready to have her baby, that day! She was admitted, but didn't deliver until a little past noon on Wednesday (what are the odds, most of the Davis' were born on a Wednesday)! Check out the pictures below...
Tuesday evening my dad received a phone call from Chris which went something like this, "Marine recruit Chris Davis reporting for duty and has arrived at ... Do not attempt to contact me. Do not send me a care package. I will contact you in 7 to 10 days via mail,"click... Most of you can read the "HELP" message in there, right?!?!?!
The last couple of days have been busy with waiting for pictures of my new niece, and of Beka & Phil of course...
Tonight is basketball practice and gym prepping for the games tomorrow!!! Bob has two games which he should win, but keep your fingers crossed anyway!!!
This weeks' funny: the other night I told Melanie to brush her teeth just before bed time. She said that she brushes her teeth first the most and that she didn't want to. After much reluctance she headed toward the bathroom. Then to my surprise, as she stood in the door way, she looked at me and said "In the morning, when you tell me to get up, I'm not going to get up and when you tell me to get dressed, I'm not going to get dressed"! Who the heck did she think she was talking to?!?!?!?! And she's only 4! I can only imagine what the teenage years will bring!!! Luckily, bribery still works on her! I am using the "I'm going to tell Daddy" line to get her to do those things that she never wants to do but should - even though he already knows!!! Hee, hee!
God bless!!!
